This hotel has been great for our family of five. From check in with Jamal to the assistance Ms. Tina offered all week, the experience with this hotel was great. Everyone was welcoming, courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. Any requests we made (extra towels or soap) were immediately handled. The coffee station stays out all day in the lobby, which our daughter discovered to include hot chocolate. This was a great afternoon treat on a couple of occasions. There was no hot chocolate one afternoon, but Ms Tina made sure it was handled. Great service from this staff! Some reviews complained that breakfast did not stay supplied all morning, but this was not our experience. Also, Wednesday offered a guest reception that featured salad, finger foods, beer and wine, and chicken noodle soup…for free! This added bonus to our week became a meal. The hotel is a short 8 minute walk to McPherson Square to catch the Metro. In case you were wondering, this is 8 minutes with a 6 year old. You may be able to walk the 3.5 blocks down 15th street quicker. Or, if you like, the bus picks up half a block away to take you to McPherson Square. This is definitely a great hotel for your stay in DC!

This is 100% a family oriented hotel. The rooms are big for DC. But this is still an east coast hotel. Breakfast is solid for a "included breakfast". Some version of eggs and breakfast meat each day with pastries, bagels, toast, fruit, etc. You have a full kitchen, so it is perfect if you are getting/bringing in your own food. You have a way of keeping stuff cold and reheating as needed. There are even dishes and a dishwasher! We stayed for 6 nights and the separate pullout bed and TV area was a life saver. This is located very near the 52 and 54 bus lines. The 52 can take you right to and from the national mall. Be prepared with cash for your fair. They don't take credit cards. You can also buy and fund a metro card at the Mcpherson Square subway station 3 blocks away, and use it for metro or bus. I REALLY recommend familiarizing yourself with both systems and downloading the metro app before trying to use either. Uber is affordable, but much more expensive than metro. We took Uber from the airport to the hotel for $40 (we needed an Uber XL to fit the 4 of us) and returned to the airport on metro during peak hours for $2.75 a person.

The apartment was well equipped, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was kind and always ready to help (even arranging an early check-in, since the apartment was available, and storing the luggage for a couple of hours after check-out). The location of the hotel is extremely good, within a short walk to the White House and the National Mall. The continental breakfast is also very good, proposing different options in a nice setting, with a lot of seating space. The first floor has a little store, with snacks and some other items. A laundry is also available in the first floor, with washing and drying machines, which is extremely helpful for those staying for a longer period (quarters are needed, but reception can change it for you... Single dose washing powder is available at the hotel store as well).

Spacious, clean room with kitchenette .We only stayed overnight and didn't use the kitchen, but for a longer stay it would have been a lifesaver. The location is great, wishing walking distance of White House and Capital Mall. Also, around the corner from the hotel is a street with eateries that are not super expensive. Valet parking seems expensive, but ultimately it saved us a big headache as the parking garages in the area seemed to be full or not open to the general public (we stayed on a Saturday night) Also helpful was the fact that we could leave our luggage until check in time.

Breakfast was the standard scrambled eggs, potatoes (varying types), and meat (bacon, ham, or sausage). There wasn't a lot of variety with these main dishes. Some days there were hard-boiled eggs in addition to scrambled eggs and pancakes or french toast. There were bananas but not a lot of other fruit. They have white/wheat bread, a small variety of bagels, and various danishes. The food staff were polite and friendly and kept the food areas clean. The room cleaning staff did an exceptional job keeping the room clean and providing fresh towels about every other day.
